I was searching on your web site and I have just been touched so much by your story. She is AMAZING and your family is AMAZING. I have a son that is 2 and I will never take a day for granted. You and your family deserve the best. I only wish everyone knew of Lauren. I have shared your story with my classmates and we are going to include her pictures for the students to see how life has many unknown issues and that everyone should be an organ donor. Lauren's story is amazing to me. You have a beautiful family. My daughter, Taylor, is almost 18 years old and was diagnosed with biliary atresia when she was 3 months old when she had her Kasai procedure. She has been hospitalized only once since then and has not been transplanted yet. We are so very blessed. She is taking part in a study at Cincinnati Children's Hospital for older kids with biliary atresia who haven't been transplanted yet. We feel extremely blessed every day and sometimes forget that Taylor even has a liver disease. My prayers are with you and Lauren as she grows into a beautiful young woman.
Comment by Mike
Wow!! I am so happy to hear how well Taylor is doing and pray that she continues on this path. Thank you!! Suz

Well, I was excited to hear that Lauren had gone home late last month, but now I see she had a set back. As always, she is in our prayers. Hope you all had a HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! We think of you all often. Little will get through this too. And in the mean time, since her body wants to work on it's own, that is encouraging. As for us, we got a pup the weekend before Christmas, so our last month plus has been a fun one. Also, I don't know if you had heard the news, but we are expecting our next addition Aug. 1. Clay is excited. He is very protective of Mommy. Lauren, keep up your spirits and your strength. We get updates from Mom and Dad, since we cannot get online often enough, but Our love to all of you. We cannot wait to see you all again. XOXOXOXO

Hey Little Sunshine, Today starts your 7th week in the hospital, and we were all hoping you would start your day today at home, with your family, instead of on 2B at Riley. As your journey continues, with its ups and downs, know that you and your family are not alone, and that you are loved so very much. You have endured more in your 2 1/2 yrs then most do in a lifetime, little one, and yet you still smile and laugh and watch the crazy world around you with those beautiful eyes... Let the strength and spirit, and the hope and faith, that your mother and father so courageously possess, carry you through. Lots of love, "TeeTee"
Aunt JuJu

And we're all so grateful for your health and the love you and your family share with us. I'll continue to pray for you all and thank God that you're in my life. Hugs, Aunt JuJu

Just wanted you to know that as time goes on and Lauren is healing, you are all still on our minds every day. I sometimes forget how much it's a part of our every day thoughts and prayers Then last night I overheard my 3 year old tell her doll that she would be ok now. That her new liver was working fine just like "Baby Laurens" It was a sweet moment and reminded me what an amazing miracle your daughter is. You are in our prayers and I look forward to hearing more good news from Grandma Seiders. Casi

You have all been amazing to work with and no doctor could ask for a more understanding, patient, positive, and trusting family to work with. I look forward to helping Dr. Molleston take care of you in the future. Jason Dranove (Dr. Jason)

Lauren: My precious child, you are a child of creation, a reflection of God’s love, and I am deeply saddened by the suffering and pain you and your parents have had to endure in the past months. I hope and pray that the worst is now over and the rainbow will be found just over the hill. You have inspired us, my little angel, with your courage; your fierce determination, and your will to live has brought to all who know you, a sense of hope for a bright future. You are too young right now to understand the magnitude of what has transpired over these past months, but one day perhaps you will look back, and realize what an enormous part the prayers, well wishes and the talented medical personnel that cared for you…. played in bringing you back to health. More importantly, I hope that one day you will realize that when you were in the midst of your greatest periods of peril, your loving Savior Jesus Christ, picked you up and carried you until you had the strength to carry on yourself. And in those moments when you had a respite from the pain and suffering of the day, it was because your Heavenly Mother Mary would come to you….take you into her loving arms and rocked you to sleep. You are still so young my child, so for now just allow yourself be loved by God and then later when you realize what has transpired here…you will learn to love Him back. We all need to place our trust in Jesus who has promised always to be with us, and who has asked us to remember that when sadness comes our way… to believe that joy will follow in the ensuing days. My prayer for you today and everyday of your life sweet child, is that you will come to find peace, happiness, good health, and a wonderful and bright future. And may you never forget that there is a purpose for your life greater than any hardship you might be going through right now…..so keep up the good fight !! Suzanne & Jim: To believe in God is to celebrate life on the good days…when the sun is shining, and laughter fills the summer air. But life is more than just happiness and sunshine. There will also be the starless nights when the laughter is no where to be heard and fear clings to ones soul…the fear of losing someone dear. That is when celebration must become an act of faith, a faith that is open to the dawn as well as to the darkness. A faith that rises up to claim life’s greatest joys, and then kneels down to taste and survive the bitterness of disappointment and sadness. A faith that seeks no place to hide, but stands exposed to life’s good times and bad times, and in that exposure grows more sensitive…feels more pain, but in the end knows more joy. To believe in God is to celebrate life. Not just a piece of the journey but all of it, the good and the bad, the happy and the sad, because God allows it all, and we live best when we receive it, accept it, and live it to our best abilities. To believe in God is to take our anger and make it into a creative force for good; to take our sorrow and transform it into a sensitizing of the soul; to trust in Him and transform that trust into a ministry of love. To believe in God is to take the sadness and the broken pieces of your life and fashion them into a new and even better beginning. Believe that His love can and will sustain you through every experience, allowing you to continue to face each problem that comes your way with determination and courage. The Father gave the world hope when His Son Jesus gave up his life for love of us. In doing this He gave each of us the gift of endurance and the will that allows us to struggle through the rough and darken times into the light. R

Children are gifts from God and blessings that we cherish greater than life. Yet I'm not sure that anything compares to the beauty of the bond between a mother and a daughter. That bond somehow links our souls and fills us with joy beyond compare. Suzanne, may all of God's blessings be with you, Lauren and your entire family. You deserve all that heaven can offer! Much love, Linda

Lauren, you are one of the bravest little girls I have ever had the pleasure to know. Though I have not had the pleasure of meeting you or your wonderful parents in person, we know your Grandpa Larry very well. He and I have been friends since kindergarten and that was a long, long time ago. He and I graduated from high school in 1956 in Cheyenne, WY. When we learned of your situation, we let all of our classmates of 1956 know about it through our monthly newsletter. Over 218 classmates are praying for you my little sweetheart. God bless you and your whole family. I wish you the best and know that God smiles apon you and cares for you every minute of every day.

We continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers every day, every hour and every minute of the day. I have to share a cute story about the Lauren 'love tags'...I went home yesterday wearing my 'love tag' and talking all about it, my 13yo son who has met Lauren and the rest of the Seiders clan was intrigued. I had taken 4 of the tags to the hair salon that Suzanne and I go to. I sold three of them, so I had one left. My son wanted it, he immediately put it on...and wore it to school today. I can't wait to hear how many of his friends asked about it. I knew you would love this story Suzanne. We love you Lauren!!!! Love, Mark, Tammy and Kyle

Hello Seiders Family..... We missed you all so much at the family reunion on Sunday. You were all in our prayers. Pretty soon that craziness of all those toddlers will be upon us at Thanksgiving. But we couldn't be looking more forward to all that fun. Most of all, Lauren, to see your smiles. Jimmy and Suzanne, your strength to endure and keep on pushing through shows your faith and resiliency. You both are a shining example of wonderfully loving parents. Ethan and Owen, know that you are wrapped in our love and prayers too. The sacrifices you are making now as siblings will be greatly rewarded to you later. To all those traveling to and from Indy to support the family with balancing home and hospital, you have our traveling mercies with you as well. P.S. Happy Belated B-Day Uncle Jim. My dearest darling, Lauren, Last night when I heard that you had spiked a fever, and had to have a cat-scan today, I was very concerned. Then your Daddy called and said that you had been extubated...well it was one of the happiest monents of my life!!! Grampa Larry and I are so happy! I want to send you a writing from Saint Terese, the Little Flower of Jesus. I read it almost every day, and I think of you as a little flower. I love you so. "The sun shines equally both on cedars and on every tiny flower. In just the same way God looks after every soul as if it had no equal. All is planned for the good of every soul, exactly as the seasons are so arranged that the humblest daisy blossoms at the appointed time."

We are watching Lauren's progress from Texas every day... thank you for updating so we can share it with those praying for her here... we miss you all and love you very much. Lauren is an amazing firecracker and God has amazing plans for her life! Hold tight to your faith! I ran across this sweet poem that I wanted to share with you.. it made me think of sweet Lauren...Lots of hugs, THE VALENTINE'S The love of a child is love that is real; So full of trust with a love you can feel. Given so freely with no strings attached; Surely this kind of love cannot be matched. But the love of Jesus so rich and so free; Is a love that will last through-out eternity! A child is so precious in God's sight; Their love so pure fills His heart with delight! God's angels are watching over their own, And they always have access to His throne! Should any one of them come to harm, He'll gather them up in His loving arms. When they're ill or hurting He weeps over them; For each one to Him is His own special gem. He created each one with His tender loving care; And of them He is forever aware. Then gives them to us to love and protect; In His own precious image His love to reflect. They are a special gift from our Father above, For us to cherish, to enjoy and to shower them with our love! ~Helen Johnson~

Suzanne,Jim,Ethan,Owen,Lauren, It was hard to say goodbye yesterday... It felt like we were back on that crazy roller coaster, and maybe that is how it is going to be for awhile, but not forever. I bring home with me the memory from Monday of Lauren kicking her legs in excitement, wiggly her fingers with joy, and laughing out loud and strong at the little green dancing baby Shrek. In her eyes on Monday, I still saw that strength and wisdom that she has had within since day one. As I said before Suz, there is something about that girl! Her strength and determination, and your strong faith and belief in her, will continue to get Lauren through this rough ride and back off of the ventilator. Know that we carry you with us in our thoughts and hearts. Love you all so much!

Lauren, you are such a beautiful child. I have been praying for you and your loving family. You are truly a special gift from God. God sent you for a special purpose that only you could do and His happiness with you comes through in your eyes which are so beautiful and your smile which radiates in spite of everything you have been through. You and other children like you are some of the true heroes in life. You maifest to us "strong" people how weak we really are and how giant-like you are. You are an inspiration to us. I know your Great Aunt Ann and have worked with her quite a while. She is one of the most giving people I know to her family and those close to her. She never says "no" to them but keeps on giving and giving and does what she can to help. She keeps us updated on how you are doing and I love the pictures. You are so precious. I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers. Your brothers are priceless too. May God continue to hold you in the palm of His Hand and watch over you and your family.

Your very special to us.There are atleast four churches that I know of that are asking God to keep his loving arms around you( all of you) and heal Lauren. We want to see her grow up and become a healthy young lady. Besides she has to be able to take care of her brothers!! She's tough but sweet. Love to all

Jim & Suzanne Seiders are my neighbors. They are a hard working young couple with well behaved and well mannered children. They are good neighbors who work had to keep their property nice and at raising their young family. Both are talented and hard working, but the liver transplant with their baby is a difficult situation to handle - and they are handling it well. The ongoing need for medication is an expensive proposition. They need your support. Click on "donate" and send your contribution today. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
